How We Built the Void

Founder of Lumareth Void Realm

Look, I'm not gonna feed you some perfect origin story. Started training out of a buddy's garage back in 2019 because honestly? The traditional gym scene felt dead to me. Too much posing, not enough pushing.

Spent 8 years bouncing between CrossFit boxes, bootcamp studios, even tried the whole bodybuilding thing. Nothing clicked until I stopped following everyone else's rules and started mixing what actually worked - brutal HIIT circuits with real functional movement that you can use outside the gym.

The "Void Realm" name came from those early 5am sessions. That space between still being asleep and fully awake, where your brain shuts up and your body just moves. That's where the magic happens, y'know?

Opened our Commercial Drive spot in 2021 with 12 members. Now we've got a crew of over 200 who get what we're about - showing up, doing the work, and leaving the ego at the door.

What We Actually Believe

Intensity Over Duration

30 minutes of focused work beats 2 hours of wandering around any day. We're not here to waste your time.

Community, Not Competition

Yeah, we track progress, but you're racing yourself, not the person next to you. We lift each other up here.

Movement Quality First

Fast and sloppy doesn't count. We'd rather see you nail 10 perfect reps than rush through 30 garbage ones.

Recovery Is Training

Can't go hard if you're always broken. Mobility and rest days aren't optional, they're part of the program.

The Mission (Without the Corporate BS)

We're here to prove that getting stronger doesn't have to be complicated or intimidating. No judgment, no bro-science, no shortcuts that don't work.

Just solid programming, coaches who actually care, and a space where everyone from total beginners to competitive athletes can push their limits together. That's it.

The Journey So Far

From garage workouts to Vancouver's tightest training community

March 2019

The Garage Days

Started running free sessions out of my friend's garage in East Van. Five regulars who weren't afraid to get weird with kettlebells at 6am.

November 2020

First Pop-Up Location

Rented warehouse space on weekends. Word spread through Instagram and suddenly we had 40 people showing up. Knew we had something real.

June 2021

Grand Opening on Commercial Drive

Signed the lease on our 3,500 sq ft space. Bought proper equipment, hired our first trainer. Made it official with 12 founding members.

April 2023

100 Member Milestone

Hit triple digits. Added nutrition coaching and mobility sessions. Brought on two more trainers who actually get our vibe.

September 2024

Expanded Space & Equipment

Took over the unit next door. Added a dedicated recovery zone with massage guns, stretching area, and cold plunge. Game changer.

Today - November 2025

200+ Strong Community

Over 200 members, 5 certified trainers, and still running like we're in that garage - just with better equipment and AC that actually works.
